On August 6, a delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by President Aslan Bzhania arrived in the Republic of South Ossetia on an official visit.
At the border, the Abkhaz delegation was greeted by Igor Kozaev, Head of the Presidential Administration of South Ossetia, Dmitrii Medoev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, and Azamat Chochiev, Minister of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of South Ossetia.
The official delegation of Abkhazia will take part in commemorative events dedicated to the 13th anniversary of Georgia’s armed aggression against South Ossetia.
Within the framework of the visit, negotiations are planned between Presidents Anatolii Bibilov and Aslan Bzhania, as well as an expanded meeting on issues of interaction between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Abkhazia.
The Abkhazian delegation also includes Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Vladimir Delba, Minister of Foregn Affairs Daur Kove, Minister of Emergency Situations Lev Kvitsinia, Head of the Department of State Administrations Beslan Kvitsinia, Deputy of the People’s Assembly Raul Lolua.
