Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D. N. Medoev gave a comment to the Sputnik South Ossetia correspondent regarding the unrest in Georgia.
Dmitrii Medoev, in particular, noted:
“The recent events in Tbilisi clearly showed the full scale of the infection of the Georgian society with the most dangerous disease – the so-called “European values”.
This is worse than the corona virus, as it reaches future generations with its destructive power, destroying the traditional system of spiritual, and at the second stage, the material culture of the chosen victim. Be that as it may, it was the failed Georgian statehood that led to a serious crisis. For the main task of the state is to prevent the moral and spiritual decay of society.
Several generations of Georgian politicians who have been raised and nurtured in the last quarter of a century on these very values, to put it mildly, have failed. It was through them that Georgia became hostage to disastrous processes. From the very beginning, we were not on our way with them.
South Ossetia is closely following the development of events in Georgia. The borders of our Republic are reliably protected. We are afraid that someone would ignite the fire of civil war in the neighboring country”.
