Upon an invitation from Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, arrived in the Republic of Abkhazia on a working visit, which will last from May 14 till May 18. In framework of the visit the Minister will participate in celebrations, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.
May 14 saw a meeting of the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitrii Medoev with the Abkhazian Foreign Minister Daur Kove. The Ministers noted the dynamic development of the political dialogue between Tskhinval and Sukhum based on trust and mutual understanding both at the working and the highest levels. A discussion on new possibilities of making broader use of the truly inexhaustible potential of the South Ossetian-Abkhazian partnership took place.
On the same day Dmitrii Medoev participated in wreath laying ceremony and laid flowers to the monument to Vladislav Ardzinba, the first President of the Republic of Abkhazia, who on that day would have celebrated his 73rd birthday.
Oleg Botsiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Abkhazia, is on the visit with the Minister.
