Regular working meeting of the South Ossetian delegation at the GID, headed by Murat Dzhioev, the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement, and the Co-Chairs of the Discussions, representing the EU, the OSCE and the UN took place in Tskhinval on November 16, 2017.
Wide range of issues, related to the agenda of the 42nd round of the Geneva International Discussion, scheduled for December 12-13, 2017, as well as intensifying efforts aimed at maintaining regional security and stability, the necessity to work out and admit the legally binding document, which would provide guarantees of non-use of force by Georgia against the Republic of South Ossetia, were discussed during the meeting.
During the discussion on situation at the border, the South Ossetian delegation drew special attention to the ongoing provocations made by the Georgian side, which can lead to very undesirable results and obviously run counter the constructive efforts, made by other sides in framework of the GID and IPRM.
Humanitarian issues, which are of special interest for the Republic of South Ossetia, were discussed in detail.
After the meeting the Co-Chairs of the Discussions answered questions of the South Ossetian media representatives.
